more beach

fun with grandpa

colton thinks grandpa david is hilarious...especially when he puts his glasses on him!

Litchfield 2009 + Elvis!

We had so much fun at the beach with the fam! the weather was perfect, water was warm, and the ocean breeze was perfect! we didn't do much but hang out at the beach, visit with family and friends, and of course indulge in our favorite southern delicacies...like fried seafood, ham biscuits, pimento cheese, hushpuppies, grits, bourbon, etc ;)

as far as the beach goes, both enjoyed it; sulley couldn't get enough of the water and colton took his time warming up water and waves. sulley pranced around the sand while colton crawled, both kids talking and pointing to the seagulls, kites that were flying, and dogs that passed by with their owners. sulley also enjoyed digging up and trying to squish all those little clam digger things... while colton remained content eating his soggy, sand covered goldfish. the kids also saw a live starfish, a loggerhead turtle nest, the kids highlight of the trip was meeting Elvis! yes, he's ALIVEEEEEEEE and works as a waiter at High Hammock in Pawleys. if only i had my camera. we all even got serenaded with a few Elvis tunes... scary, YES!

outta my way, fool

sulley's walking 24/7 now... it's about time after crawling on her knees for the past 3 months!! there's no stopping miss thang, she'll literally walk right over you. forget manners, if you're in her way, she's going over ya because she sure can't go under you and she's definitely not going through you!

we've already had one major tumble in Greenville, hence the bum nose in the picture above. oh well, nothing a little sun and salt water couldn't heal at the beach.

Homestead Farms with the Lee Family!

we spent a gorgeous saturday at Homestead Farms with the Lee family! we picked both blackberries and peaches and manged to also eat probably half of what we picked before we even paid for the fruit! opps! despite the hot day, the kids were great and had a ball sampling our findings!

max en route to show mommy his gold!

inspecting and sampling the booty was crucial

did we get enough blackberries? have we eaten too many? should we pick more?

claude and naomi

colton and sulley have spent some quality time the past few days with their great grandparents that are visiting from sc. as you can see below, colton and grandaddy claude had a fun time together.... claude was always making the kids smile or laugh...mostly due to his singing to them!

rub a dub dub, three cousins in the tub

Bath time always provides us with laughs but it was especially hilarious with Linus, Colton and Sulley. Thanks to grandad allen for reminding me of the poem, "Too Many kids in this tub" by Shel Silverstein:

There's too many kids in this tub
There's too many elbows to scrub
I just washed a behind that I'm sure wasn't mine
There's too many kids in this tub.

Water Babies

The lake was surprisingly cool for mid july but the kids did just fine floating around like little fish....

quality time with the dads

after overcoming an initial fear of the hose, sulley decided it was fun to try and drink from it

4th of July at Smith Mtn Lake

we spent a beautiful weekend at the lake at baba and grandad's house. as usual, we spent most of the time on the dock. all the kids (mostly sulley) seemed to be enjoying all the extra attention from the grandaprents...

while at the lake, we stopped by the Homestead Creamery for ice cream. sulley was more interested in chasing the wild roosters than eating anything....

not afraid one bit of the nasty farm animals...

linus decided he liked his chocolate ice cream cone so much that he was going to wear it home
