Little Bunny(ies) Foo Foo hopping through the Forest (Tysons)
Colton and Sulley enjoyed their first visit with the Easter Bunny and remained unphased by the freaky looking animal, probably because they shared the experience with their friends!
Oddly enough, we all pranced directly to the Easter Bunny set and walked right up for pictures (much unlike Santa -probably because most people were aware of the crappy, overpriced photos they were about to pay for! Grrrrrrr!) Even so, we still managed to have a good time and share a few laughs, all while making first EB visit memories...

11 months and two days!
11 months and two days! wowzas, is right! quick update -- both are crawling and standing up... sulley is 'cruising' aka toggling from piece of furniture to furniture. colton is slowly moving along the coffee table but hasn't caught the hang of cruising. both are continuing to make various sounds, but there isn't much to report there. they're great eaters -- sulley mostly loves fruit (big suprise) and continues to eat tons of cheese (another big suprise). colton loves butter and syrup with waffles on the side and also enjoys cheese, yogurt, and aunt ma'thas meatloaf. we have an appointment with the developmental specialist on monday for a check up, so it'll be interesting to see what dr. wallin has to say.
sulley and colton LOVE to play in the bathroom and their newest friend is the porcelain god. Sulley can't seem to get enough of that white monster and has taken a liking to sticking her hands in the toilet! She's even befriended the trash can, toilet brush, and plunger.
Colton and Sulley are hilarious to watch -- they steal pacifiers, sulley pulls colton's hair, and colton will just stare at sulley and giggle. Both also love to play with the dishwasher and pull out all the knives and plates they can get their hands on. C&S also love to stand in there cribs and scream while looking at each other-- half screaming/crying and half laughing, just egging each other on...
it's really strange to think that we've almost made it an entire year with these kids - strange is probably the wrong word, it's just wild knowing that a YEAR has almost passed. we've been extremely blessed and have lots to be thankful for... it's amazing to think just how far we've come!

bath time is our favorite time
it's amazing how much colton and sulley love bath time! it's so cute to watch them stand by the tub while we get the bath water ready. you can't tell in this picture, but once the water starts running, they start laughing and making their 'happy' noises, they start waving their hands in the air and start tapping the tub. it's hilarious to watch them in the water splashing around and tying to grab the water when it flows out of the spout... i just hope they like the pool, beach, and lake just as much!

Everyone needs a pictures in their robe
these days, a kids picture album isn't complete until his/her pic is taken in their robe! we almost forgot about the matching post bath duds... good think we located them just in time before they got a little too short. Judging from the picture of sulley and her diaper hanging out, it's already time to retire the adorb robe!

Breakfast of Champions
Greg and I discovered this morning that the kids LOVE homemade blueberry pancakes, smothered in butter and syrup!! (A big shout out to great granddaddy ken for teaching me to both love blueberry p'cakes and how to make them!)
Getting the pancakes made was a bit difficult with the whole family in the kitchen...
The kids love to stand either behind or beside us when we're cooking... they love to play with the very safe child cabinet locks (ghetto rubberband version)...
...betcha didn't know that our high tech 'child locks' double as musical instruments - sulley amuses herself by strumming the rubberband... doesn't it just want to make you want to run out and get you some!

The Proposing Knee
Now that Colton "crawl dog" Allen has mastered crawling, he's working on pulling himself up. As you can see, he's gotten about half way there and loves the 'proposing knee' position. Sometimes he's gets so excited about trying to stand up that he pulls the toys on top of himself - it goes a little something like this -- Colton crawls to toy and pulls himself into position...he starts babbling to the toy and shakes it profusely while keeping his hands in lockdown position on the toy....we try to help him stand up but he doesnt want our help.... babbling, toy shaking and playing continue....we hear a loud thud...both colton and toys are upside down... colton cries for about 5 seconds, recovers... and he's happy again. Repeat.
