all tuckered out
One of greg's favorite things to do besides hanging out with his kids, is to sleep. so here he is killing two birds with one stone! Sulley can always go back to sleep or take nap when she's cuddled up with greg. Somehow I think alot of this same thing will go on this weekend...

The Goose is Loose
This picture is kinda gross but what do you expect a wild woman to look like after dinner. She's obviously not the cleanest eater and is probably saving a little of the food (left on her shirt) for a snack later!
Sulley is doing great - still not pronouncing her vowel sounds as well as colton but she's entered a loud stage! Unlike Colton, her words and sounds aren't as defined; her noises consist of "ahhhhhhhhh uhhhhhhhhhhh ehhhhhhhhhhhhh!" She also is standing up 24/7 and moving herself around and can inch her way down the coffee table while standing. Sulley is into everything and has figured out how to open cabinet doors, etc. The other day she was standing by the dishwasher pulling out all the knives on the floor, prior to that she pulled out all the dish towels, and has also dumped over the basket of diapers underneath the changing table! Today she knocked over the fruit basket and got bonked in the head with an apple and a banana. Every day it seems as if we find something new to move away from her reach.
I expect that she'll be walking within the next month! We'll see
i can eat ice cream and crawl too!
Colton LOVES ice cream which is not surprising since it's one of my favorite foods. the kid pretty much attacked greg while he was eating his popsicle. we're actually excited that he seemed interested in something edible and probably will continue to feed him such treats. colton seems to prefer vanilla ice cream coated with a hard chocolate shell. He's got the sweet tooth gene coming from both sides of the family so we're probably doomed. Oh, did i mention that he likes cherry jello too?
In other Colton news, he's pretty much crawling. Covering ground but not taking off yet. He's even started to try and pull himself up but hasn't been successful. He's also constantly babbling and doing a great job using his vowel sounds. He mostly says "ma ma ma" "ba ba ba" and "da da da."

Wintergreen
We spent a relaxing, fun weekend at Wintergreen hanging out with Emily and GW and Kari and Ron. Colton and Sulley enjoyed meeting their new friends, Taylor and Price. It didn't take long for them all to get comfortable with each other... After a busy day visiting the wineries, Colton enjoyed napping beside Taylor while she rubbed his head.

So today we took advantage of the beautiful weather and trekked into DC to visit the National Zoo. We met Jud, Ing and Lucy there and, of course, Colton and Sulley had absolutely no interest in the animals. We went to the tiger pad and the tigers even showed off for us, but no reaction from the DPs...We did manage to wake the Colton up a couple of times to snap a few quick pictures. Sulley on the other hand, slept the whole time until we got to the grocery store on the way home and then she decided to serenade every single person in the store. When we got separated, Laura could find me in the Teeter just by listening for Sulley.
new tricks
Yup, colton is under the couch! Now that he's started to scoot a little, somehow he always backs his way under things like tables, the tv and the couch. wild and kinda disgusting since he's becoming a human dust mop!

From one heart to another...
We're gearing up for Valentine's Day a little early and have spent the day making RK treats and cookies for our MM Valentine's Day party tomorrow! I got a little carried away with the pink food coloring and at one point, our icing almost looked neon pink. i kept adding drops to the icing in an attempt to make it red but uh... it only got brighter instead of darker. ha!

Toothless Wonder
Here's our toothless boy in all his glory. Colton must be finally getting a toofie because he's been chewing on toys even more than he has been the past few months. Here he is, chewing on his favorite silver teething toy. Big guy has also been a little irritable and finicky eating (not unusual) so we're just pumping him up with motrin. I've also noticed that he prefers his baby food cold-- another reason i suspect teething. Miss Sulley now has TWO teeth coming poking through her gums. She's going to be a snaggletooth before long. I just hope Colton his bottoms ones are coming in and not his lateral incisors, because the last thing i want is a vampire kid! but hey, if it happens (which is possible), at least it'll make for cute pictures!!
