Litchfield 2009 + Elvis!
We had so much fun at the beach with the fam! the weather was perfect, water was warm, and the ocean breeze was perfect! we didn't do much but hang out at the beach, visit with family and friends, and of course indulge in our favorite southern delicacies...like fried seafood, ham biscuits, pimento cheese, hushpuppies, grits, bourbon, etc ;)
as far as the beach goes, both enjoyed it; sulley couldn't get enough of the water and colton took his time warming up water and waves. sulley pranced around the sand while colton crawled, both kids talking and pointing to the seagulls, kites that were flying, and dogs that passed by with their owners. sulley also enjoyed digging up and trying to squish all those little clam digger things... while colton remained content eating his soggy, sand covered goldfish. the kids also saw a live starfish, a loggerhead turtle nest, the kids highlight of the trip was meeting Elvis! yes, he's ALIVEEEEEEEE and works as a waiter at High Hammock in Pawleys. if only i had my camera. we all even got serenaded with a few Elvis tunes... scary, YES!

outta my way, fool
sulley's walking 24/7 now... it's about time after crawling on her knees for the past 3 months!! there's no stopping miss thang, she'll literally walk right over you. forget manners, if you're in her way, she's going over ya because she sure can't go under you and she's definitely not going through you!
we've already had one major tumble in Greenville, hence the bum nose in the picture above. oh well, nothing a little sun and salt water couldn't heal at the beach.

rub a dub dub, three cousins in the tub
Bath time always provides us with laughs but it was especially hilarious with Linus, Colton and Sulley. Thanks to grandad allen for reminding me of the poem, "Too Many kids in this tub" by Shel Silverstein:
There's too many kids in this tub
There's too many elbows to scrub
I just washed a behind that I'm sure wasn't mine
There's too many kids in this tub.
There's too many elbows to scrub
I just washed a behind that I'm sure wasn't mine
There's too many kids in this tub.
Water Babies
The lake was surprisingly cool for mid july but the kids did just fine floating around like little fish....
4th of July at Smith Mtn Lake
we spent a beautiful weekend at the lake at baba and grandad's house. as usual, we spent most of the time on the dock. all the kids (mostly sulley) seemed to be enjoying all the extra attention from the grandaprents...
while at the lake, we stopped by the Homestead Creamery for ice cream. sulley was more interested in chasing the wild roosters than eating anything....
