Happy New Year
HAPPY NEW YEAR! we welcome twenty ten with open arms. it's going to be a great year...Bring it on!
Blizzard of 2009
Yeah well, i know this post doesn't fall in the right order date wise, but somehow i forgot to mention the big SNOW of 09. a week before christmas (as well all know) much of the east coast was blanketed with almost two feet of snow...probably the most snow i've ever seen at one time in my life. any who's, thank god we had groceries and i had mostly finished christmas shopping. not really sure when our streets/hood finally got plowed, as when we left for the lake tuesday night, there was no sign of the plow trucks.
At any rate, the kids did ok in the snow. everyone knows it takes about 45 mins to get them all bundled up and they lasts, oh maybe 15?! colton really could have cared less about the cold wet stuff but sulley seemed to enjoy being pulled around on a sled.

Christmas 2009 at Smith Mtn Lake
We had a great Christmas at the lake! It was fun to get away for a few days and just enjoy sitting around doing nothing - you know typical holiday style - eat, drink, and be merry or in our case, eat, drink, be merry AND lazy!
We really did nothing! Everyone slept great and napped well so it made for an even better week. We ventured out a few times into Roanoke to celebrate Greg's 30th and in true Roanoke fashion, no visit would be complete without a late night trip to Texas Tavern for a cheesey western. Everyone was happy.
We did manage to take a few photos of the holidays and here are just a few:

Greg's Birthday Lunch at Bojangles
What better place to celebrate greg's 30th birthday than by having lunch Bojangles! The pickin's are slim at SML, but if you ask us, there is no better place to go than the beautiful dining room at probably one of the best (and cleanest) bojo's ever.
